Tasha Tetpon, Inupiaq and Athabaskan, grew up in Anchorage, Alaska and currently lives in Louisville, Kentucky. An artist and nature lover at heart, she says she has “been drawing for as long as she could hold a pencil,” and considers nature as her greatest source of inspiration. Tasha Tetpon is a self-taught beadworker but has picked up tips and tricks from other Alaskan Native beaders and has also received some formal training in art through college courses where she learned color theory. For a time, Tasha worked as an independent graphic designer until she launched her online business called Moongrove Beads. “Through Moongrove Beads, I’ve found my true passion—creating meaningful artwork that I get to share with people far and wide. My hope is that my pieces inspire individuality and creative expression. I’m deeply committed to honoring and carrying forward my Alaskan Native heritage and culture through my business.”
